Wasco Australia has completed construction of the Roma North Gas Processing Facility and Export Pipeline for Senex Energy. The Roma North Facility, located 40km north east of Roma connects the existing Senex Energy gas development to the Comet Ridge to Wallumbilla Pipeline. Wasco's scope included offsite fabrication and assembly of pre-assembled pipe racks and process skids and complete civil, pipeline, structural, mechanical, electrical, control and communications installation. The project featured steel pile foundations, with minimal concrete structures and pre-assembled racks and skids. The compression facility and pipeline includes multiple gas engine driven gas compressors, tri-ethylene glycol dehydration, fuel gas, flare, water treatment, modular switchroom, power generation, plant air, gas inlet PE slug catcher, outlet metering and export facility, 5km DN200 class 1500 steel gas pipeline and end of line custody transfer facility. With delivery of these facilities Wasco has completed at Roma North a 35 gas well gathering system, compression, dehydration and high pressure export facilities to Senex Energy. The project utilised Wasco’s full capability including engineering, steel pipeline, HDPE pipeline, facility and compression teams.
Wasco Australia has completed the Palm Valley 13 Flowline for Central Petroleum. Palm Valley 13 Flowline connects the newly online well to the existing Palm Valley Gas Plant in the Northern Territory. It is located about 150km west of Alice Springs, NT. The project included detailed design, supply, refurbishment and installation of wellhead equipment and the construction of an above ground high pressure steel flowline. Innovative rock coring technology was utilised in the completion of the pipeline support system. Wasco’s Shailer Park and Steel Flowline teams sucessfully completed the project within a timeframe of 4 weeks from mobilise to mechanical completion.
Wasco Australia's head office and project support workshop and warehouse have been relocated a short distance to 60 Commercial Drive, Shailer Park 4128. The new facility includes 800m2 offices on two levels and an 850m2 workshop and warehouse that will service field projects and provide new equipment and component assessment, repair and replacement services for our gas compression and power generation customers.
Wasco has moved its Roma Facility from Spencer Street to it's new premises at 4/73 Beaumont Road Roma. This new location offers direct access to the Warrego Highway and is in a prime position to support Wasco operations and its clients in the region. Wasco will continue to provide construction and operations support from this new Roma base.
The SWJV team at Coonaberry Nodal Compression Facility has reached mechanical completion of the relocation of two gas compressors and balance of plant for Santos. This challenging project in the far south west corner of Queensland (Cooper Basin) was delivered through the hot summer period and had to overcome not only distance but isolation after Cooper Creek flooding cut off road traffic.
Wasco's Steel Pipeline Crew has completed installation of the Myall Creek 5A flowline for Armour Energy. This flowline is the second new flowline installed by Wasco for Armour since Myall Creek development wells recommenced. End of Line facilities and pipeline scope included Civil, SMP and EI.
